  1. What Areas Do You Serve?

As of today, The Cleaning Girl currently serves the New Castle County area from North Wilmington to Townsend, Delaware.  If you are not in our service area but would like additional information, please email us at info@thecleaninggirlinc.com.

  1. Are You Licensed, Bonded & Insured?

Yes! The Cleaning Girl, Inc. is licensed, bonded and insured throughout the State of Delaware. Our staff is background, reference checked and most importantly, highly trained to practice safe cleaning and reaching standards. In the unlikely event that an object is damaged, please notify us within 24 hours.

  1. How Long Have You Been In Business?

The Cleaning Girl, Inc. has been in business serving hundreds of residents and businesses since 2012. We have established numerous relationships within the Non Profit and Small Business community as well as the local Chamber of Commerce, The Women’s Business Center and have an excellent standing on Angie’s List, Houzz, Porch Living Social and Google.

  1. Do You Offer In Home Estimates Or Quotes By Phone?

No, our company solely offer 3 discounted cleaning packages as an introduction to the service.  Each package includes a full detailed clean throughout every room and allows a flexible and affordable option for your home’s priorities and overall budget. 

  1. What If I Want A Maintenance Quote? Do You Offer Recurring Discounts?

Yes! After your initial package is performed, we email a follow up review of our services and offer all clients a discounted, recurring appointment to continue services.

  1. Do You Bring Your Own Supplies & Are They Safe For All Surfaces?

Yes! We bring all of the supplies to your home. All of our girls are trained to use products that are safe for all surfaces, including: stainless steel, tiles, glass, wood, etc.  If you have a special product that you would like us to use, please leave detailed instructions on your booking form.  Additionally, we are only permitted to use a labeled product and will not use any bleach in the home.

  1. Are You Pet Safe?

We love animals, but they don't always love us. If you think your pet may become overly anxious while we are there, please make temporary arrangements while we are in your home. You can leave detailed pet instructions during the online scheduling process.

  1. Do I have to Book Online?

No, you are free to call or email our office directly and have our office staff book the appointment online for you at 302.498.9218 or info@thecleaninggirlinc.com.

After you book your appointment, you will begin to receive a series of emails…

 You will also be entered into our email system for monthly updates, discounts and cleaning tips. You are welcome to opt out at any time. 

  1. How Can I Best Prepare For My Visit?

After you have booked your appointment online, you will receive an email confirmation that provides a guideline on how to prepare your home for the visit, our do’s/ don’ts as well as a link to our Printable Checklist.  We highly recommend that you print, complete and leave on the counter for the girls to review upon arrival.  This ensures a clear form of communication as the girls will take a tour of the home, follow the checklist and get started right away. Please take a moment and review this information prior to your cleaning.

  1. Do I Have To Be Home When You Clean? Do You Take A Key?

No, you do not have to be home for your clean as long as our girls have proper directions for entering and exiting your home. Please input these instructions when booking your appointment. All Keys and Codes are stored on a separate file within our office and taken home nightly with Jessica, our Operations Manager.

  1. How Do I Pay?

We accept all forms of payment but prefer a credit card on file prior to booking. You can also choose your form of payment during the booking process.  Please note that payment is due at time of service unless prior arrangements have been made.

  1. When Does My Card Get Charged?

Your credit card will be charged at midnight on the day that your appointment takes place. You will receive an automated email with the transaction summary to notify you when and how much your card is charged.

  1. How Do I Update My Billing Information?

To switch your billing information, simply log into our online portal using your username and password and edit your billing information in the "Settings" section of the website.

  1. What is Your Cancellation Policy?

You are free to cancel your service at any time, however, we have a $50 SAME DAY CANCELLATION FEE which is charged if you cancel after 5pm on the evening prior to your scheduled appointment.

  1. Can I Leave A Tip?

Tips are not required but are certainly appreciated by our cleaners. 

  1. What If I Have Specific Cleaning Requests?

Special instructions can be left for our girls when you schedule your appointment online. After the clean is complete, you can rate your experience and update your special instructions if you want something cleaned differently.

  1. What If I Have Valuables or Collectibles, Areas I Don’t Want Cleaned?

We understand that these areas of are importance therefore, we highly recommend omitting the particular area of concern and noting your checklist of the change.  Additionally, we recommend in closing the door of any room that is not to be cleaned.

  1. What If I Just Had Construction Done In The Home?

Due to the extra dust remaining from a post construction project, we highly recommend a full home cleaning as there is always additional time needed.  Additionally, we highly recommend an air duct cleaning of the heating vents prior to a full home clean.

  1. What If It Snows Or There Is A Holiday?

We currently follow the Red Clay Consolidated School District Snow Policy. In the event of bad weather, we will advise all staff and clients of our plans to reschedule any appointments, as far in advance as possible.  Our company follows a traditional holiday schedule with the exception of closing the cleaning schedule for the day after 4th of July, Black Friday and the day after Christmas.  All appointments are scheduled in advance around the holidays to ensure that everyone can enjoy a clean home!
